Music is the soundtrack to our lives

Zoë Modiga recalls the Bassline Live night as an incredible moment for live music. “I enjoyed sharing the evening with ZU. and I am sure all the music lovers in attendance enjoyed creating magic with us.” She encourages everyone to catch the stream because “music is the one superpower that is the soundtrack to our lives. This may be a frozen moment in time but I believe that anyone who has the chance to watch the live stream will be impacted.” 

When big names are moved

ZU. says that one of the highlights from her captivating performance at The Bassline Live at The Lyric Theatre was when Thandiswa Mazwai made it backstage after her performance just to let her know that she was moved. “That moment when big names come to your change room afterwards because they have to tell you how moved they are! Priceless,” she declared. 

She’s conscious of the dampened mood that another lockdown may have brought to many South Africans but she feels that the music is “as important for the receiver as it is for us, the ministers of song. A wonderful little gem in these uncertain times.”
