Karabo Motijoane is director and owner of NANA COYOTE PRODUCTIONS SA (PTY) Ltd, formed in 2014.

The company boasts a great library of South African production music
that got used in several popular television shows. Among others are Isibaya, The Queen, Generations, Muvhango, Living the Dream with Somizi, and Life with Kelly Khumalo. Motijoane’s thriving Nana Coyote production recently got commissioned (with Trevor Mako Productions) to help with music on Mzantsi Cribs, SANpark Reality Show and Cut &
Style Title.

Part of the Coyote production’s social responsibility involvement is with disadvantaged youth through Ziyawamow Music workshops from 2020 to 2022. These got staged in Eastern, Western and Northern Capes of South Africa. The Nana Coyote production also contributed,
significantly, in youth empowering music workshops in neighbouring
Zimbabwe and Botswana.

MUSIC INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Motijone is a former Sheer Publishing director and co-owner. His over twenty-five years experience at Sheer include roles of copyright
Manager, General manager and, before resigning in July 2022 as Head of A&R. At Sheer, Motijoane was responsible for an international client base including Kobalt Music, Mushroom Music, Ole Music, and Atal Music. In his illustrious career he got instrumental in signing top South African songwriters. Such include DJ Cleo, Skwatta Kamp, Hidden Force, DJ Ganyani, Wikid, Thabiso ‘Thasman’ Tsotetsi, and Mr.
Selwyn.

Additionally he secured the publishing business ( for Sheer) of Mapaputsi, Brown Dash, TS Records, Zahara, Robby Malinga, Mjakes Thebe, Kelly Khumalo, Cassper Nyovest, Dj Tira, Dj Sox, Nhlanhla Nciza of Mafikizolo, Tshidi Mholo of Malaika and 999 Music.

Since 2011 to date, Motijoane is a member of the board of Music Publishers Association of South Africa (MPA-SA). The passionate music administrator was board member for the National Organization for Reproduction Rights in Music (NORM) between 2011 and 2014. Moshito Music Conference and Exhibition from 2014 to 2019. Motijoane studied at Damelin in midrand. In 2008, he obtained a qualification in principles of business Management and marketing, in 2008.
